She Wore Blue Velvet
Sunday, October 16th, 2011Something happens day and night…
First and foremost: She Wore Blue Velvet (published by Waterrose Handcrafted Obsessions)
I’ve had some hand dyed velvet in my stash for a while now. I purchased it from someone on Etsy and didn’t end up using it for a project that I had in mind. I spied it as I was looking for something else…and well….I didn’t find that something else…lol But as soon as I touched that velvet I thought about how luxurious that would feel around my wrist…or your wrist!
I started gathering
In another exciting story: It’s A Dogs Life (published by Waterrose Handcrafted Obsessions)

Warming up a bit
Sitting and contemplating life
Sasha, there’s no room for you here on this step…
It\’s your turn now….mom…where’s the towel?

Daily Treasury: Comfort Zone
Saturday, October 15th, 2011Today is another news day!
The top news today, IMHO: Daily Treasury: Comfort Zone (published by Inspirational Beading)
As a little extra inspiration, and just for the fun of it, I want to try something new! A daily snapshot of a great treasury or collection. Today’s treasury includes lots of warm fall neutrals and woodland themes, all from member’s of the April’s Army team.
In another intriguing story: Bead Embroidery Pendants (published by Inspirational Beading)
Trying out a new material or medium can sometimes be a little intimidating, but excitement usually overshadows those doubts. And if we keep at it, we are often rewarded with a new skill. Last month, I decided it was time to finally stop procrastinating, and I used my New Beads budget to try out some wool felt as a material for bead embroidery. It was money well spent!

Inspired by Rain
Wednesday, October 12th, 2011Today is a good day for good news!
The top news today, IMHO: Inspired by Rain (published by Inspirational Beading)
Today it is a very gray, cold and rainy day in my neighborhood. It?s the kind of weather that makes you want to hide under a fuzzy blanket all day. There is a very good chance that I will spend a good portion of today drinking homemade mocha and watching X-Files on Netflix. Maybe, probably, I?ll do a little beading.
What would you think about this story?: Thank You Cards (published by Waterrose Handcrafted Obsessions)
During our travels I take a lot of pictures. They just sit, lonely on my computer and have been begging to be shared. After looking through them I decided to create some moo postcards and include them as thank you gifts to my customers.
Have you ever used Moo to create business cards? Well if not, let me tell you they are the best thing since birthday cake (and you thought I would say sliced
To end on another amusing story: Wedding Memories (published by Waterrose Handcrafted Obsessions)
What are the special keepsakes from your wedding? Photos, the top of the cake, a wedding garter? I was asked to create eight of my bridal cuffs and a ring bearer pillow for a bride which will become a keepsake for her and her attendants on this special day.
It’s such a joy to work on this type of project. As I stitched I thought about other weddings and how special the memories

A Bracelet a Week: Forty
Sunday, October 9th, 2011What you can find digging around Internet?
To start with: A Bracelet a Week: Forty (published by Inspirational Beading)
Today?s bracelet is the first design in the last quarter of this year long challenge. I can?t believe the end is nearly here! There are still twelve more weeks to go, and I think the challenge is going to be a success.
I found this breathtaking story: Bead Spotlight: Bicones (published by Inspirational Beading)
When we think of bicone beads, crystals are often what comes to mind. The Swarovski bicone is one of the most common and versatile bead styles. They are wonderful as accent beads, but their unique shape is also ideal for bead weaving, and 3 dimensionalbeadwork.
